Hi, we’re Andrè and Lara
We grew up in the Dolomites, sharing a love for the mountains, travel and everything that takes us a little outside our comfort zone. We created this space to share what we see along the way, but above all what travel leaves with us.
Lara
I’m Lara, born in 1993 in the province of Belluno, and I’ve loved the mountains since I was a child.
I’ve always preferred an early alarm to reach a summit over a night out clubbing,
and maybe it was somewhere along those trails that I learned to appreciate simple things.
After graduating in Environmental Sciences, I started working and, finally, travelling too.
But the more I travelled, the more one question kept coming back: why always wait for the next holiday?
That famous “right moment” to change our lives probably wasn’t going to arrive,
so at some point we bought a one-way ticket.
Since then, travel has given me incredible landscapes, strange and wonderful food,
but above all, people. People who can offer a smile or a kind gesture
without expecting anything in return. That’s probably the part of travelling
I carry with me most fondly. And yes, I have a huge soft spot for Asia.
Andrè
I’m Andrè, born in 1989 in a small town at the foot of the Dolomites.
For much of my life, my way of exploring the world was mostly vertical:
climbing has been part of my life for many years and is still one of my greatest passions.
I’ve always been curious. I like understanding how people live on the other side of the world,
eating what they eat, getting lost in places I only knew from seeing them
on a map, and listening to stories different from my own.
More than anything, travelling has taught me to question many of my certainties.
The more places I see, the less I feel the need for absolute answers.
For me, travelling isn’t just about moving from one place to another:
it’s one of the best ways I know to observe the world and, at the same time,
understand a little more about myself.

We lost count quite a while ago, so take these numbers with a healthy dose of flexibility.
Our story
For years we did what many people do: work, wait for our holidays, leave as soon as we could and then return to everyday life. Until we started asking ourselves whether that really was the only possible way to live.
So we left our jobs and set off with a one-way ticket. We travelled slowly across Asia, lived out of a backpack for months, worked and travelled around Australia, crossed countries by car, bus, train and ferry, and learned that you don’t have to go to the other side of the world to feel free, but sometimes you have to go there to understand it.
We’re not professional travellers and we don’t want to tell anyone how they should travel. We simply share what we do: itineraries, mountains, mistakes, places that stayed with us and a few thoughts that came to us along the way.
Our way of travelling is quite simple: slow, light and far.
